About the speaker:
Dr. Gracie Babineaux is a Vermilion Parish native who uses her musicianship with the Babineaux Sisters Band and her scientific education to promote, protect, and prioritize the Louisiana landscape and the unique cultures it sustains. As a recent graduate of the Earth and Energy Sciences PhD program at UL Lafayette, she is now beginning her tenure as a National Academies Gulf Science Research Program's Science Policy fellow, where she will be working with multiple Louisiana-based organizations to tackle the most difficult environmental challenges facing our coast and waterways.
