Pack and Paddle Fundraiser - Lake Fausse Point - November 1, 2025

Our paddle trip to Lake Fausse Point was one for the books! Hosted as a fundraiser by Pack & Paddle, the event brought out a huge turnout of nature lovers ready to explore a beautiful environment. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect with clear skies, a light breeze, and calm water.

 Along the way, we spotted alligators basking in the sun, Roseate spoonbills flying above the trees (otherwise known as “that pink bird”, as some would call it), beautiful new arrivals, limpkins, invasive apple snails, iris, black crown night herons, egrets and countless majestic cypress trees draped in Spanish moss. After the paddle, everyone gathered for a delicious fish fry, with great conversations echoing across the camp as we swapped paddling stories.

 The fun didn’t stop there! Trivia games kept everyone on their toes, with some lucky paddlers taking home cool prizes. More than anything, the day was about connection, with each other, with nature, and with the wild beauty we’re all working to protect.
